Someone ^had my ^back, now I've got yours!

I’ve been where you are.  In my first school, I had 2 veteran teachers who mentored me through those difficult first years of teaching.  When I transferred to my current school, I wasn’t a “new teacher” anymore and didn’t have a mentor help me learn the ropes in the new building. 
 

 

It was then that I realized how instrumental mentoring for teachers can be in their first years.

Without my mentors, I didn’t know what I didn’t know!

 

Now, I’m not going to just hand over all the quick and easy answers because… how does that REALLY help YOU long term? You don’t need short-term answers for your long-term career.
